Setting up Bridges¶
This page covers assigning Lockers to a Bridge so that secrets are cached in the Bridge's memory and available to local systems.
The Bridge must already be registered and connected to the Zaita platform before Lockers can be assigned to it. If you have not yet deployed a Bridge, see CLM Bridges — Setting Up.
Prerequisites¶
- A Bridge deployed and showing as Active in the portal
- A Locker containing the secrets you want to cache (see Managing Lockers and Secrets)
- The Secrets Administrator or Super Administrator role
Assigning a Locker to a Bridge¶
Lockers are assigned to a Bridge through the Locker's Bridge Cache tab:
- Navigate to Secrets → Inventory and open the Locker.
- Select the Bridge Cache tab.
- Click Assign Bridge.
- Select the Bridge from the dropdown list.
- Click Assign.
The platform adds the Locker to the Bridge's sync list. The Bridge will download and cache the Locker on its next heartbeat cycle.
Removing a Locker from a Bridge¶
- Navigate to Secrets → Inventory and open the Locker.
- Select the Bridge Cache tab.
- Locate the Bridge and click Remove.
The Bridge stops refreshing this Locker on its next heartbeat cycle. The existing in-memory cache entry is cleared on the following sync.
